Pomander holder

They say pomanders should not rest on anything or touch anything, lest they are prone to root. This is achieved by using a huge binder clip and a fruit net.

The pomander is a juicy orange pricked all over with spice cloves.

For some reason I cannot turn the photo... Will try later. My apologies.

Binder clip coupon or discount reminder

I cut out discounts from commercial catalogues and keep them by the door. This way when I go shopping and take my keys I can
Take them with me.
One bunch for every store is advisable.

Disclaimer

This blog is aimed to show anyone interested the way I use binder clips for various purposes.

When an idea is copied from a certain source, it will be mentioned in the blog post.

There exist the possibility of parallel ideas, of course. This is,  I may thing I am the first to come up with an idea... but in reality someone had the same idea before.  If you can prove it (photographs, sites...with a previous date)  please do not hesitate to place a comment about it. I will make  the corrections of course...that will not mean I copied the idea of course...just that it existed already without my knowing it.

Comments about other possible uses of binder clips are welcome as well.

Binder clip jewelry organizers

I'm quite proud of this idea! I recently found a store which sells elegant chromed binder clips at a very convenient price... I bought tons of them of course. The idea of this clever (Yes...because clever it is, isn't it?) earring and ring organizer came to me when trying to organize just the binder clip themselves... I thought it would be a good idea to keep them in order with cardboard strips...and once done I noticed the thing was able to stand in a quite cute way...so the organizer was born.

Now all those cheap earrings and rings take much less space than before...and they are at hand.

I then devised another system for the long earrings you see in the first photo... and also for keeping other jewelry items. I used the clear plastic boxes the binder clips came in...to make a jewelry tower. Wow, how cool! (I don't know if you will join me in this opinion)

You simply stack some of the boxes one on top of another. The more near the bottom a box is, the lesser used items should be inside it. The top box contains the most used ones and is missing its cover; with binder clips around the edge, it doubles as a long earring (or whatever you want) holder.

Binder clip tube holder

I copied the idea of using a binder clip as a toothpaste tube squeezer from the Internet (see below), but I came up with the additional idea of creating an organizational system out of it, by hanging the (not just toothpaste) tubes and so freeing horizontal space in my bathroom.

See how I did this. I stuck hangers on the wall using a mounting glue (on of those which can be used to mount shelves and so). I then used the squeezing binder clip as a hoop to hang the tubes.

As you can see,  one can hang more than  one tube in fact, using a smaller clip for a smaller tube and then a bigger one for...a bigger one of course.

It's really cool to have all the tubes at hand and in sight (I know what you're thinking...  You have too many of them... Well that's why my mind was quick at devising this organizational system...)

Hangers can be stuck to the bottom of a medicine cabinet of shelf :

Binder clip dishcloth hanger and more

Apart from the most obvious use of binder clips (that is, to use them to bind sheets of paper together), here are others quite predictable, too. I think this is not going to be an exciting blog entry, but...One must keep the most interesting for later.

I use binder clips in my kitchen:
